The NWS Billings radar update work continues through next week. Today the pedestal was swapped out. The pedestal is one of the most critical components of the radar which is necessary for antenna rotation and positioning. Here is a time-lapse capturing the process. This work ensures our radar continues to operate reliably into the 2030s.
